\\Unknown Swamp on the Russian Border


The fog rolled in and enveloped the team of Russian troops. Vladimir watched the Russian troops through his binoculars, he had always hated the smell of swamps.

"Lets take them out." Vladimir rose from the ground and stooped low as he ran like a hunter going for prey. "We have to take them out quietly."

Vladimir leaped toward them, he sunk his knife into the jugular of the Russian troop. The rest of them went down silently too.

"Lets keep moving." Vladimir followed his captain, Viktor, toward the enemy encampment.

Vanessa struggled to keep up with the two soldiers. She had no idea what was going on and she was getting really tired. I wonder if anyone is looking for me.

[Barley]

Vladimir set the last charge and ran back to Vanessa and Viktor. He jumped and slid on his side pressing the detonation button. KABOOM, the last taget exploded launching hunks of metal in different directions.

"Lets get out of here." Viktor grunted as he got up and ran back into the swamp and away from the base, Vladimir close behind.

As soon as they got a safe distance from the base Vladimir radioed to HQ.

"We need pick up."

"Pick-up to where? Can I borrow that radio?" Vanessa didn't want to be going back to these rebels base she wanted to go back to her hq.

[Barley]

"Yeah, here you go." Vladimir tossed the radio to Vanessa.

[Ketic]

Vanessa radioed her squad leader and soon she was riding in the back of a helo, glad to be away from those crazy extremist russians.

[Barley]

"Welcome back." Ghost smirked, and sat across the helo from Vanessa. "Who were those guys?"

[Ketic]

"I don't know.. Rebels or something. Crazy as bats though. Just setting off explosions and running around. I had no idea what was going on." Vanessa sighed. "So did you get the HVI?"

[Barley]

"Yeah we got 'im." Ghost leaned forward. "He's an old man, I don't know how he would have good intel."

[Ketic]

"Maybe hes wise." Vanessa laughed. "I think we are almost back."

[Barley]

The helo landed and its passengers filed out, Ghost in the rear. "You wanna see the guy?"

[Ketic]

"Sure. I wanna know if he was worth the trouble." Vanessa folded her arms and waited for Ghost to lead the way.

[Barley]

Ghost entered the base and walked to the holding room where the HVI was held. "Here he is."Ghost gestured toward the glass into the room where an old russian man about in his 70's and wore a dirty tattered business suit.

[Ketic]

"Has anyone questioned him yet? He looks like a douche bag." Vanessa grumbled. She hadn't slept or eaten for some time and she was missing those luxuries right about now.

[Barley]

"They've tried but he doesn't know english all he knows is russian and we don't have any russian speakers at this base." Ghost leaned against the glass. "You should rest, you look tired."

"Yeah yeah. I will right now. Thanks Ghost." Vanessa nodded to the soldier and went in search of her bunk.

[Barley]

Ghost watched as the interrigator got angry with the old calm russian man. Ghost turned around as the commander approached him.

"A russian city was hit by the Russian Federation." The commander said.

"Are you sending our team?" Ghost asked.

"No, but we are sending you to a different town that the russians are going to attack, you should prepare you leave tomorrow."

Ghost nodded and went to his bunk.
