Spoiled Milk

John sat back in his office chair and sighed, he hasn't had a case in a few months and his last one wasn't a very big case either, he pondered for a moment he wasn't the biggest private investigator in Blimpton but there weren't that many. John looked out the window, it was pouring rain he hummed to himself as he got u and walk into the kitchen and opened the fridge. Milk, he picked it up and unscrewed the lid he looked inside, spoiled, the milk was separated and chunks floated around inside the carton. John sighed, glanced around the room then took a sniff of the milk, he almost barfed into the sink but he held it down until it subsided. Breathing heavily from the brink of throwing up he screwed on the cap, opened the window and tossed the spoiled milk outside, conveniently the dumpster was right below his window, the spoiled milk hit the edge of the dumpster and burst sending spoiled milk all over, John retreated back inside before his head could get soaked. Time to go buy some more milk, he shuffled to the front door of his apartment, slipped his shoes and on pulled on his jacket then exited his apartment. Outside the apartment complex John was immediately blasted by rain, he grunted and trudged down the sidewalk. The rain seemed to come in waves with the wind, cars sped by splashing water onto the side walk, John looked up at the dark storm clouds letting the rain batter his face, the rain was cold but the temperature of the outside was quite warm. He jumped over a puddle in the gutter and ran across the street to the other side as a group of cars sped by. He approached the Qwik-Mart, he quickly stepped inside to the dry store.

"Hello sir!" said the owner of the store, he was a a short and skinny man with graying hair and small gold rimmed glasses, he spoke with a slight english accent.
"Can I help you find anything?"

"No, thank you." John walked to the refrigerators and searched for the milk, there, John picked up the milk just as two men wearing masks in a old western fashion and one was carry a gun.

John crouched low enough to see the bandits over the isles, the old man turned to look at John but he didn't see him. John moved over to the wall directly behind the bandits but something stopped him. One of the bandits started to beatbox the other while pointing a gun at the clerk started to bob his head.

"YO! You man gonna give me the money in tha' register or we gonna blow, UH! blow UH!, B-B-BUH BLOW you away!" John grimaced as the robber tried to rap to the beat. John crept up to the bandit who was beatboxing and bashed him on the side of the head with the milk John was holding. The milk container burst open sending milk in different directions, John ducked as his head was showered with milk. The bandit fell to the ground the other bandit was stunned by the sudden blast of cold milk. John slid on his side and tripped the rapping bandit, John jumped up and blindly grabbed to his left, he grabbed some twinkies and started throwing them at the perp, the bandit screamed as he was being pelted by twinkies. John growled, the twinkies had no effect, he scanned the counter grabbed a box of lighters and bashed the remaining bandit on the head. John sighed and walked back to the milk, when he payed for it he said.

"You should call the police, oh, and sorry for the mess." The old man nodded and picked up the phone. John proceeded outside, he didn't like to be questioned by the police even though he was a private investigator. Once home he slipped off his shoes and jacket, put the milk in the fridge and took a shower.
